Why Nirmala Convent School?

Nirmala Convent Sr. Sec. School,Kathgodam, is a Christian Minority School established and administered by the religious congregation of the Ursulines of Mary Immaculate founded by Mother Bridgit of Jesus in 1649.

Nirmala Convent Sr. Sec. School is owned by the Nirmala Educational Society of Ursulines of Mary Immaculate, a body registered under the Society'sRegistration act XXI of 1860. The School is under the religious jurisdiction of the catholic Bishop of Bareilly.

What does the word mean? Nirmala is the name of Virgin Mary. It means 'purity'. Virgin Mary or Mary Immaculate is the mother of Jesus Christ, and this institution like thousand others is named after her.

My dear Students and Staff, Although we have already begun the scholastic year, we are about to launch in full steam ahead in the coming days.
